Android: There are lots of ways to unlock your phone, but many are fiddly.
WakeUp unlocks your handset when you pick it up and hold it at the right angle.
Download the free app from Google Play, fire it up and hit the Activate machine Administrator button.
Tap Activate followed by Start Automatically Monitoring.
Pick up your phone and gradually tilt it towards you.
As an added bonus, the screen will also power off when you lay your handset horizontally.
