Both are great in their own right, but together, they are much stronger.

The Mohu Channels is an Android-powered box that seamlessly blends both into one TV equipment.

But combining both isnt usually something you’re free to do with one equipment.

How the Channels Works

TheMohu Channels($99 direct) is an unassuming oblong cylinder.

when you obtain everything hooked up, the Channels will walk you through the setup process.

You may have already done this on your TV before, but get ready for some differences.

Either way, keep scanning until you get all the channels you want.

Once youre finished the setup process, youll be dropped at the Channels biggest perk: the channel guide.

Once I had the Channels set up and working, it was easy to use.

Where the Channels Excels

The Channels does a number of things right.

The remote control included with the Channels is another high point.

Its backlit, too, which is a nice touch (and useful for finding between couch cushions.)

Where It Falls Short

The Channels isnt perfect by any means though.

Like we mentioned, the setup process can be clunky.

That said, theyre easily dismissed or ignored.

it’s possible for you to add web sites as channels, but its not a great experience.

Some sites work better than others, but if you could find apps, stick to those.

That means lots of swiping and clicking and dragging with the remote.

Finally, the other issue that the Channels gave us was with broadcast TV.

Sometimes the Channels would skip over networks I knew I could receive if I went straight through my antenna.
