Nowadays, I would venture for most people the definition is Frugality is not spending more than you earn.
How the hell did we get here?
In previous generations not spending more than you earn was the default assumption.
Of course, weve also discussed how Spend less than you earnisnt always an achievable goal for some.
However, it is a good baseline for financial health.
Reaching that milestone doesnt mean your finances are in the best shape ever.
It just means theyre in the black.
