Safety should be a priority in any workshop or tool shed, especially if you have any curious youngsters around.
With a little flexible conduit you’ve got the option to make blade guards for all of your hand saws and avoid avoid any accidents.
These simple guards, from Instructables userjohn pedersen, are easy to make and wont cost you much if you know where to look.
All you gotta do is cut the flexible conduit to the length of each saws blade, and then carefully cut a slit lengthwise down one side of each piece.
Stick the sharp edge of the saw into the slit and the conduit will pinch itself onto the blade, keeping it in place.
Keep in mind, this is flexible conduit made of PVC and not the metallic kind used in outdoor construction.
Its usually blue or orange, and it’s possible for you to buy a roll of the stuff in the store or look for some thats been tossed out at a construction site.
