The Raspberry Pi is great for all kinds of interesting and complex projects.

It’s also great for stupid projects, like this animated GIF photo frame I made this week.

see to it you also set up the Wi-Fi card while you’re at it.

During first boot, you might also want tooverclocking your Pi to at least 900MHz.

Some of these GIFs are huge and need a little extra power to load up properly.

While you’re in the Raspi-Config menu, go ahead and make sureBoot to Desktopis enabled as well.

So, all you gotta do here is hit the display into the GPIO on your Raspberry Pi.

Chromium’skiosk modeworks perfectly for this.

Load up LXTerminal to get into the command line in Raspbian.

I’m usingGiphy TVto supply the GIFs.

pop in in:

Chromium should now launch with some full-screen GIFs.

Next up, you gotta disable any power saving features on your Raspberry Pi.

From the command line, bang out in:

This loads up the text editor.

You’ll do a couple things in here.
