Android/iOS/Web: Today, Google took the wraps off a big new email utility.
Many of these features may be familiar to users ofapps like Boomerang.
With Inbox, you could swipe to the right to set a snooze on an email.
Reminders also have a neat feature called “Assists.”
Say you turn an email into a reminder to “Make a reservation at this hotel.”
Assists will find the phone number for the hotel in question and add it to your reminder.
The hits don’t stop there.
Google has also added the ability to create “Bundles.”
Google polarized fans of its email service last year byadding smart categories.
There were only four categories, they were hard to refine, and you couldn’t add your own.
With Bundles, that changes.
you’ve got the option to also teach Inbox which emails you want grouped together.
It will also provide you contextually useful information, like flight statuses next to emails about travel.
For now, though, all of that is behind an invite-only wall.
