Those are titles I have.

I really want to answer that I can live without almost all of it, except email and calendar.

So all of this has changed in the last ten or twenty years but it now seems normal.

If I cant get power to recharge my phone, Im disoriented.

I should mention that I have a weather station in my yard.

I particularly like to see how much precious rain we get during a storm.

Whats your workspace setup like?

I move from place to place.

Whats your best time-saving shortcut or life hack?

I cant get to all my emails and respond promptly, even though Id like to do that.

I will miss things.

I cant keep up with all the news, all the social media, but somehow thats okay.

I attempt to do as much as I can but I cant do everything.

I try not to beat myself up over what I cannot do.

Whats your favorite to-do list manager?

A piece of scrap paper.

I really like cameras.

I have aSony RX-100 IIIand aFujifilm X100S.

Its quicker, too.

Walking around Maker Faire, I take a lot of photos and Ill use the Sony camera for that.

That camera looks like a film camera and people will come up and ask about it.

Do you find yourself always working on something?

I get something started and let it incubate a bit until I have time to finish it.

I knew that DIY already existed but it wasnt recognized and it wasnt really celebrated.

There have always been makers but consumer culture isnt about makingit celebrates shopping.

Its about valuing play in addition to work.

What is most surprising to me is the response from children.

We have a real obligation to help support them in our communities.

Making wine, I hear?

Well have it to drink at Thanksgiving.

Im also working on this years hot sauce, made from Fresno chiles and Habanero peppers that Ive grown.

Its aging in a small oak barrel on the kitchen counter.

What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else?

I dont know if Im better than everyone but Im good at remembering names.

I think its important to remember people and their names.

It surprises people that you remember their name and who they are.

What do you listen to while you work?

I dont listen to music much at all while I work.

I find it to be distracting.

What are you currently reading?

Im on thethird volumeofMy Struggleby Karl Ove Knausgaard, a Norwegian writers exhausting but fascinating account of his life.

Im also reading Bill BrysonsAt Home, which is a history of the way homes were organized.

How do you recharge?

I love a day without much to do at home.

I have a 18-month-old grandson, Henry, and being around him renews and recharges me.

Whats your sleep routine like?

I am more of a night owl than an early riser.

I usually get a good nights sleep, however.
