Some bosses can be volatile.

To some extent, that’s expectedmanagers do have pressure-filled jobs, after all.

And of course, your manager takes it out on everyone around him or her.

No matter your boss’s mood, your work has to continueideally without ruining your entire workday.

So how can you remain unaffected by your manager’s bad moods?

I’ve been there, and I’ll tell you it’s not easybut it can be done.

How do you resist?

Start by keeping things in perspective.

Is your boss in a terrible mood becausea project is off track?

If you’re not involved in that particular assignment, you don’t need to let yourself be affected.

If you are part of that project, confirm your manager knows you’re on top of your portion.

And, sure, it’s certainly not always possible.

You may have an unavoidable meeting scheduled or an urgent question that needs to be answered face-to-face.

Just remember: Bosses have shortcomings, too.

Your bossmay not have the best time management skills.

It’s tough, but try not to take it personally.

Is there anything I can do to help?"

What do you think would be the best way to approach it?"

you could’t control your boss’s moodsbut you could control the way you react to them.

Steel yourself, keep things in perspective, and carry on.

new ways to better encourage, lead, and motivate her team.
