I told her I couldn’t accept it, as they owed me nothing.

It was not a warranty issue and I didn’t want anyone to get in trouble over my mistake.

She told me that Apple was more interested in making me happy.

She also told me not to ever do that again.

Often, you’ll get lucky and you could get repairs whether you’ve got a warranty or not.

Just remember: be nice, play dumb, and don’t let ‘em see you sweat.
