Ive been successful, but overcoming the lack of energy to do work has been an interesting challenge.

Im about two weeks into myGrand Travel Experiment, and Im happy to report mostly successes!
The biggest successes have been with working every day, and my daily workouts.
Ive also been meditating every day, though not as long as at home.
It really helps to have this experiment going to help me be mindful.
But thats really tough, and I decided its more sustainable to be able to work while traveling.
So Ive been waking up a bit early and doing my work as the kids get ready.
Heres what has worked for me:
1.
Dont give yourself a choice. The hard part comes when we say, Should I do this now or not?
What has worked for me is telling myself there is no option.
Giving myself a choice would lead to pretty bad results.
Having this challenge forces me to realize what Im doing, and make a conscious choice.
Im keenly aware of this expectation of me, and I dont like letting people down.
So I do the work, without giving myself a choice.
So one motivation for me to get my work done is to not have to think about it later.
So thats what Ive been doing, but I dont claim that everything has been going perfectly.
And so the temptation is to forget about the work, but I know that wont turn out well.
So I take a stab at get the work done anyway.
I think the things Ive been learning about working while traveling should apply to non-vacation work as well.
A great wake-up call!
