Some jobs, activities, or tasks involve a certain amount of risk.

But as time goes on, we get comfortable and forget about the dangers associated with the task.

That’s often when mistakes and accidents happen.

This is called “normalization.”

The most obvious example of this in everyday life is texting while driving.

But he discovered it was actually the opposite.

Their confidence overshadowed their better judgement about the dangers of the job.

Of course, you don’t want to walk around constantly paranoid that something bad could happen.
