Chrome's Dev Channel Mutes Auto-Play Media Opened in the Background

Ever open a YouTube video in a new tab, only to find that its started playing without you?

Or a page that starts playing music before youre ready?

Chromes latest update will now mute those by default, until you navigate to the tab yourself.

This feature, currently available in Chromes dev channel (version 46), is really handy.

Itll still load it, though, and once you pick the tab, itll start playing.

This feature should be enabled automatically, so double-check youre on the latest version to try it out.
