Allergy sufferers are often told to eat local honey.
Its true that honey, which bees make from the nectar, can contain trace amounts of this pollen.
But this isnt the pollen youre allergic to.
Check outthe typical allergy offenders: ryegrass, maple, and oak to name a few.
(Not to gross you out, but pollen is basically plant sperm.)
This explains why studies keep showing thathoney doesnt help allergies.
We dont want to stop you from eating local honey, though.
Youllsupport local beekeepers, and probably get better quality honeythan the mass-produced stuff.
