Refinery29’s Style Director, Connie Wang suggests a simple outfit-building option: match just two of your pieces.
In the above photo, the two items are obviously the dress and the tights.
Everything else she’s wearing is complementary, but those navy pieces form the foundation.
Obviously, just picking two random items of the same color doesn’t necessarily make a great outfit.
And plenty of great outfits don’t match anything at all.
But I like this option because it offers a simple way toget started.
It’s just an easy, go-to rule that can yield nice results.
